Jackdaws and Other Friends is not a bird book, nor a landscape book, nor an autobiography, nor a poetry book, nor even a history book but bits of pieces of all these, connected by the thread of a morning walk in the grounds of Fingask Castle taken in lockdown.

The very talented artist and teacher, Penelope Anstice will be hosting the first of two spring painting schools at Fingask on April the 5th and 6th 2022. The second course will be held on May 10th and 11th. Where better to enjoy some “en plein air” painting and tuition than in the marvellous and surreal gardens of Fingask.
