The Boat House

This is a real surprise: Apart from a boat, and a (rather narrow) double bed, there is a generous sauna, and balcony overlooking the lake.

Sleeps 2. One (intimate) double bedroom, kitchenette, shower room and sauna.

The boat house, lives up to its name: housing a rowing boat, but also, rather surprisingly, a biggish sauna, by contrast a (rather narrow) double bed accessible only from one side, a basic kitchen, a shower, and a wonderful veranda with a great view. You are welcome to use the boat but please wear the floatation jackets – provided.

The boat house is different from other Fingask accommodation in that it is rather basic. But unlike the other accommodation you can wake up at water level, and find swans, ducks and fish, in easy reach. But please don’t feed the birds on the grass and remember they are mainly fashionably vegetarian!

General information

All our cottages have open fires, except Rowan Cottage which features a wood burning stove; logs are supplied.

We have scale drawings of all cottages which we are delighted to send to you, so you can work out who sleeps where before you arrive.
