Sir Stuart’s is a modern house named after Sir Stuart Threipland, physician to Bonnie Prince Charlie. It stands close to Fingask Lake. There is a short walk to the car park over the Fingask burn via a stone foot bridge. The house has an entrance porch, a large open plan sitting/dining room with integral kitchen, and an en suite double bedroom (left hand toilet rail, shower seat available by arrangement) and a separate cloakroom & toilet.

Upstairs is a twin bedroom with adjacent bathroom, containing a bath, basin and toilet, three further twin bedrooms en suite with shower, toilet and basin; also a small sitting room with two occasional single beds which overlook the lake.

Only let in conjunction with Sir Stuart’s House, ‘The Bothy’ is a separate insulated wooden building to the rear of Sir Stuart’s, with a twin bedded en suite bedroom. TV and internet access. The Bothy is only let in connection with main house.

General information

All our cottages have open fires, except Rowan Cottage which features a wood burning stove; logs are supplied.

We have scale drawings of all cottages which we are delighted to send to you, so you can work out who sleeps where before you arrive.
