Really cannot say enough good things about our fantastic week’s stay and wedding at Fingask. What made the entire experience so special, was that virtually all of our wedding guests were able to travel up from England, and stay on site in the delightful surrounding cottages, the Boat House and Sir Stuart’s House. And, by all accounts, each one was brilliant.
The scenery of the entire estate is wonderful… Beyond description. It’s a perfect balance of pristinely maintained gardens and rough terrain - both of which can be explored with complete freedom - our three Labradors (who were made to feel very welcome) had an amazing week with us, and were entirely in their element swimming in lakes, running through woodland and venturing where they wished.
The staff at Fingask are fantastic, most notably, in that you are made to feel as though no request is too much. They are so accommodating, friendly and helpful, it really took away a huge amount of the stress, both on the day, and leading up to. So many of our guests have said how seemless the day was, and whilst some of this was our planning, the chilled out attitude and extremely helpful staff made each different element of the wedding seem effortless. We had absolutely no issues on the day. It ran brilliantly. Particular thanks to Jan who put up with every question and request we threw at her, and was so helpful, not only to us, but to all of our guests throughout their stay and on the wedding day.
I could go on raving about this place, none of us wanted to leave, the entire party had a glum look on check-out day, and we’ve all already been talking about when we can return to enjoy Sir Stuart’s House and the Boat House again. It really is a special place, and I can’t recommend more highly using Fingask as a wedding venue, or just visiting to enjoy everything else this wonderful place has to offer.

We have just returned to Kent after a perfect time at Fingask for one week. We came up for our niece’s wedding and I met you in the ceremony room on Thursday afternoon as I was arranging the flowers for Fridays wedding.
I would like to say how much we enjoyed staying in Rowan Cottage, which was ideal for us. Everything we needed and it was well kitted out. We enjoyed lunch outside one day, walks around the estate and visiting our other members of the family who were staying in Sir Stuarts. What a beautiful place that is to visit too. Looking out onto the lake and the boat house. This was used by the bridal couple on their honeymoon night before they departed for their fortnight in Mauritius.
Being English and partaking in our first Scottish wedding we particularly enjoyed seeing all the kilts, studded jackets and tartans and daggers in the socks. Also the piper piping us all down to the wedding breakfast in the pavilion, which was an ideal venue for lots of lively ceilidh dancing and finishing with Auld Lang Syne.
The views are spectacular from the house and were a feast for the eyes, while we enjoyed champagne and watched the happy couple pose for photos in the topiary and by the fountain.
Thank you for a most memorable week and day of celebrations.
Back to reality after out perfect wedding at Fingask,
David and I could not of been happier with everything, the staff were amazing from the start of planning to the very end and even the next day when we had to go back and collect all our presents and things they could not of been more helpful. Everyone of our guests said how gorgeous the castle grounds and pavilion looked and how easy the day flowed which was all thanks to the very hard working team at Fingask, you all do a amazing job Jan, Renton and the bar staff all wonderful, with a special mention to Elaine who took my stress levels down to zero with her nothing is a problem attitude. Would recommend anyone thinking of using Fingask for a wedding or any event really to stop thinking and book it cause it will be magical of that i have no doubt.
We were also staying in the Boat House for the weekend and it may look small from the outside but inside its perfection the added bonus of the sanua upstairs just made staying a bliss, we were so sad when Monday came and we had to leave the prefect world up there but we have already decided that our anniversary will be spent back in the boat house!
